Prayer and the Kingdom of God Part: 3 : Prayer - Intimacy with God & the Holy Spirit

Okay, so to recap what we've covered in the past 2 sessions...

In the first week we covered this fundamental prayer:
"your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven"

That when Jesus said " and you shall do greater works than these" and Paul states that the Kingdom of heaven is of power not talk, then I am compelled to position my thinking to bring heaven into effect on earth.  Especially that I know Jesus didn't teach us to pray that he didn't intend on answering.

And then we've discussed how we get to that spiritual mindset and the mechanism to do it, through repenting of my way of thinking to see past salvation and see the Kingdom of God here on earth.  To then have a revelation that we are actively co- laboring with Christ to bring His Kingdom into effect and the mechanism to do that is to pray in FAITH: substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

To bring this down to earth ( so to speak) the mind shift for me is literally as simple ( but somewhat overwhelming figuratively high, like Mt Everest high) as not reducing my lack of answers to prayer or the lack of my healed Achilles heal or lost business deal or lack of my friends marriage being reconciled as something to be given a rational explanation, for example: that it was not God's will or that i didn't have enough faith ........ but rather that I must push into this and find the keys of Heaven to pull these things into alignment.

I mean guys, just think about it, someone is sick, someone is under immense marriage strain, someone is suffering deep psychological or mental issues, someone is in a wheelchair.....  And we pray, nothing happens.  'Hmmm, what's gone wrong?' 'The formula didn't work.... God's not into answering extreme prayers about a quadriplegic today....'
Only that Jesus healed all of the above and then some..... And empowered his disciples to do the same and gave the Apostles and the church the Holy Spirit....

Could I suggest that you are sitting there like me, troubled with finding a rational answer or even a theological one, searching the Bible in your head that has some example to back up your rationale for why  my prayer wasn't answered.
Guys, there is no rationale for it NOT to be answered.  The thing that hasn't been answered is "what am I missing, what do I need to push into to bring Heaven's glory onto earth right now? Lord teach me, show me Father, that I may release your will into this persons' life, situation, environment"

Now hear me me straight, God is not an automatic slot machine, equation or boxed in "Mr Fix it", and the blessing of God can be as destructive and self annialiting as a sickness.
For example: Proverbs 30:7-9
Two things I ask from you;
do not refuse me before I die:
8 Remove falsehood and lies far from me;
do not give me poverty or riches,
feed me with my allotted portion of bread,
9 lest I become satisfied and act deceptively
and say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or lest I become poor and steal
and demean the name of my God.

But i want to put that to one side and move us into a mindset that is more concerned with exercisng Kingdom authority and power than the outcome of what might occurr if we actually get some (power).

So, if i can't find Jesus teaching on unaswered prayer that is not in accodance with His will, then i must persue the opposite: the fulfiment of that prayer.

Let me ask you a question: does God impose a self restriction on the affairs of man?
I believe He has.
"Whatever you bind / loose in heaven will be on earth"
"whoever u forgive/ not forgive,  so will i"
Moses and the 10 plagues and exodus... Why did God do it through Moses when he could have cut out the middle-man...
"if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and turn from their ways, seek my face.... Then i will hear them, heal their land..."

So, what's the self restriction based on: Prayer- a calling of intimacy to God's presence and will, that we would seek Him and call His will, His name, His power, His forgiveness, His grace, His favour, His influence, His healing into this earthly Kingdom. This is the Kingdom that we have been given dominion over.

Prayer is the avenue for intimacy and God revealing his heart and secrets to us ( It is the Glory of God to conceal a thing and he honour of kings to search out a matter)

So we are essentially ambassadors from another kingdom. We have the military, financial, medical and political power of the most powerful kingdom in the universe:Jesus'.

Are you gettingthis? Don't be motivated by power or the thought bunbble that you could heal someone, get motivated that His presence is here and we are fulfilling the real purpose of our life, the kicker is that we got power and control over darkness and this world and people as a result are released from darkness.

Okay, some pointers about praying in faith:

Pray into a position and sense of faith: then move into a position of declaration. The opposite is true: praying out of fear or self focus or religious accuracy.

Work with the Holy Spirit

Pray into a sense of peace that transcends all understanding.

Approach prayer and His Kingdom not with a theological or theoretical understanding, but with an expectation and search for the impartation of his power. In other words seek the Holy Spirits reasoning on your prayer.

When a light is turned on darkness has no place. When we pray,  light overtakes the darkness.

"Lord i gotta have your power and presence so i can be a blessing to others (Psalm 67:2) , i gotta have your influence and healing and grace so i can breath life into my neighbour. And i know i have faith of a mustard seed at times, but i am in this i am burning my ships on this kingdom authority until i understand it, have it and release it. "

My final challenge, call to arms (so to speak): pray and exercise power until you see some.. Don't be content with a theological rationale.  Lay hands on the person in your world that is suffering and 'unleash his Kingdom' until you see it come into alignment.

God is not to be understood, but to be experienced.
