Let's begin with some quotes and
concepts and see if you know where they come from :

with such ignorant words?
3 Brace yourself like a man,
because I have some questions for you,

Why is the topic important? Especially
when coupled with the theory of Evolution.
Because it's the twisting of the
process of science to theorise that God does not exist and when
science is the new “Truth”, then that supersedes the “Logos”,
the Word, the Truth.
If you were like me or George Pell on
Q&A last week, we become a Evolutionist apologetic in a way,
believing that we evolved and that somehow the Genesis story, was a
“poetic” writing not intended to give a scientific or rational
explanation about the creation of the Universe and earth.
And then my argument went, “well if
the big bang was the way God did it along with evolution, then
great”. But for so long, I could never get a sense of comfort when
aligning it to the Bible.
You see, the Bible, is the only book
that states it has been inspired by God who is outside of time and
space and can see all things.
If that is a scientific fact then the
contents of the Bible must be true. Think about it, it's like being
in a time machine an being able to predict every future event. Then
on what basis is that fact? The answer lies in prophecies and the
fruit of it's instruction: the blind see, the dead are raised, the
sick are healed and people are set free to live amazing lives.....
just as the Bible stated. Not one mishap or error, not one prophecy
missed.
Staggering.
So here are some positions to consider:
when magnifying the living cell 1000
million times until it's 20Km in diameter, Michael Denton states
this is what you would see:
What
we would then see would be an object of unparalleled complexity and
adaptive design. On the surface of the cell, we would see millions of
openings, like the portholes of a vast space ship, opening and
closing to allow a continual stream of materials to flow in and
out. If we were to enter one of these openings, we would
find ourselves in a world of supreme technology and bewildering
complexity. We would see endless highly organized corridors and
conduits branching in every direction away from the perimeter of the
cell, some leading to the central memory bank in the nucleus and
others to assembly plants and processing units. The nucleus itself

stacked together in ordered arrays, and raw materials would shuttle

gene—is complex beyond our own creative capacities, a reality which

If you were to take the DNA in your
body, and put it into tiny print, in a book, it would fill the entire
grand canyon 50 times.
Earth is the only planet with liquid
water in abundance critical for life and regulation of the surface
temperature of the planet.
Earth is perfectly positioned from the
Sun, any closer and the atmosphere would be boiled off and rotation
stop.
Earth has to be protected by gas giant
planets to draw away comets
Earth must be orbited by a large moon
Earth has the right amount of magnetic
field to ward off solar radiation which would otherwise kill us. If
it was weaker we'd die of radiation, any stronger and it would kill
all life on earth.
If the moon was any closer and further
away what of the tides? What of the rotation and seasons of the
earth?
Earth is precisely angled to rotate and
capture the energy from the sun
There are hundreds of constants,
requirements, ratios and factors that need to make the earth work,
all precisely tuned together.
Evolution is NOT a fact, it is a theory
with more holes in it than swiss cheese. Evolution is a faith and
belief system being gilded by “Scientific” statements dressed up
as FACT, that are NOT.
The fossil record of evolution has
never been found. That is, to say there are millions of fossils that
show evolution traces to the 500,000 species we have today. There
are variations that have been found, not evolved. A variation is like
comparing an Indian with a Eskimo -both are humans of the same
species.
Many natural history scientists have
gone public with the statement that the fossil record has not been
found. Darwin stated this was a requirement for Evolution to be true
(amongst other prerequisites).
It's just amazing that blind random
natural selection had the intelligence (from God know where) to
create 2 eyes, 2 ears and a digestive system that could get all
nutrients and energy from the sun, and the plants and creature that
were also evolving ( and still are today) so we could live.
But why is it that we evolved and are
the only species that have the capacity to study ourselves and make
moral decisions outside of our instinct?
Where did evil evolve? What is it, if
there is no moral agent?
If we did evolve over millions of
years, there would be millions of transition forms found. There are
none and the claims of the Neanderthal, Java, Lucy, Alaska fossils
all are false or have big questions over them, yet they are a tiny
handful, when there should be millions of them.
Why is it that they have found fossils
of hundreds of wooly mammoths standing upright with their young and
with undigested food still in their stomachs in Siberia?
Why is it that they have found fossils
of trees and whales in an upright position ?
The DNA alignment between Chimps and
Humans which has been stated by some that match of 99% in the genome
(DNA), based on cherry picking DNA sequencing techniques.
Because DNA sequence is based on 4
letters (or DNA bases), there is a mathematical baseline of about 25%
always being matched. New studies and matching techniques show that
the similarity is between 81-87%.
The list goes on and on and on and on.
Then there are holes in carbon dating,
radiometric dating, there are assumptions built in to their models
and time-scales. And of course there has to be, because they weren't
there 500 million years ago, let along 7 thousand years.
My point is not to attack science, but
to highlight that science is always updating itself, backtracking
itself, and re-applying it's theories. You only have to look at the
abc.net.au iphone app and look at the science section, as I did last
week and saw 4 articles related to new findings and theories about
evolution, covering the time estimated when we got out of the cave to
when we would have first had the intelligence to create fire, to the
size of a dinosaur bird that was 40 times that of the T-Rex, to the
“young earth” not being 18B years old but only 4.6B.
Science actually points to an
intelligence and Designer, Creator, God, call it what you will, and
when coupled with a message system that is outside of time and space,
called the Bible, it matches, it completes the scientific equation:
Hypothesis and rational explanation and empirical evidence.
Atheism like theism, is on the same
infinite regression problem: If God created the earth then who
created God, then who created that God before the God of the Universe
and on it goes...
Then Atheism, says, well there is no
God, as we have the rationality to explain that God doesn't exist,
but then where did rationalism come from, and then the creator of
rationalism must have had a creator before it. And what's the purpose
of introducing reason, but where did reason come from.. and on it
goes.
I find it so bizarre that we put out
blind trust in Dawkins's science (evolution faith) and yet science is
demonstrating laws, constructs, design, purpose, specificity,
irreducible complexity, origins of life without gaps coupled with a
moral code from the Manufacturer telling us how to get the best out
of earth and our bodies, and when followed, it's proven to work. Yet
we chuck it out.
Now I understand when Paul states:
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the
godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their
wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them,
because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of
the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine
nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been
made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as
God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and
their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be
wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal
God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and
animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
