Skilled Labor
Do you see any truly competent workers?
They will serve kings
rather than working for ordinary people. (Proverbs 22:29 NLT)
Don’t demand an audience with the king
or push for a place among the great. It’s better to wait for an invitation to the head table
than to be sent away in public disgrace.
Just because you’ve seen something, (Proverbs 25:6, 7 NLT)
Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth—
a stranger, not your own lips. (Proverbs 27:2 NLT)
Whoever stubbornly refuses to accept criticism
will suddenly be destroyed beyond recovery. (Proverbs 29:1 NLT)
Do you have a skilled ability?
Do you work on developing it?
Are you a status quo man?
Self improvement and regulation is a huge corporate and social cultural mindset today
Yet God has been urging us to this principle for millennium.
As men in the workforce it is wisdom to improve oneself.
It's also a call to a better way, which is a Jesus princple
Self regulation and self promotion are not the same thing. A promotion may come about by political reasons but if you or I are highly competent at what we do, then promotion will come.
