Ivy bouncers jailed for patron bashing
Two of three bouncers who bashed a teenage patron at Sydney's Ivy nightclub have been jailed over the attack.
Jason Mendelow, 25, Paul Fenukitau, 43, and Emmanouil Ntaras,
32, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm in company over
the CBD attack on August 28 last year.
The victim, 19-year-old Nicholas Barsoum, was forced to the
ground, kicked, punched, gagged and stomped on in the early hours of the
morning, leaving him with internal bleeding and serious facial
injuries.

One Shitty Deal
Reporter Marian Wilkinson lifts the lid on the behaviour of
investment bank Goldman Sachs in the United States. Speaking to a
whistleblower who brought allegations against the company to the US
Securities and Exchange Commission and the FBI, she also examines key
internal company documents that show how the deal was sold in Australia.
Crucially, she asks if some senior figures in Goldman Sachs New
York knew the bank was selling investment packages that would almost
certainly fail.
On the 22nd June 2007, a senior executive at Goldman Sachs, America
wrote an email to the head of the company's mortgage division saying:
"Boy that Timberwolf was one shitty deal."
The email is both revealing and damning. Timberwolf was really just a
fancy name for a billion dollar investment package, tied up with the US
sub-prime mortgage market and sold by Goldman Sachs. As Four Corners
shows, the New York bank had reason to believe the package was not a
good investment for their clients.
In mid 2007, Goldman Sachs, Australia sold the Australian hedge fund
Basis Capital an investment in Timberwolf valued at $100 million. Within
days, as the sub-prime market in the United States began its meltdown,
Timberwolf began to collapse in value. This week, Basis launched a $1
billion civil case against Goldman Sachs over the deal.

Tyler Hamilton Comes Clean
Lance Armstrong, his former wingman and roommate, said that Tyler
Hamilton’s writing a tell-all book about doping in cycling is “greedy,
opportunistic, and self-serving.” The president of the international
federation wondered, “What’s the objective of him coming clean”? And his
former teammates and rivals, Hamilton observes, have maintained “an
almost eerie silence.”
But the man from Marblehead has no apologies for exposing his sport’s dirty underwear three years after he got off the bike.

Two men arrested over rape of 11-year-old schoolgirl
Girl was assaulted for two to three hours after being grabbed on her way home from school near a park in north London
Police have arrested two men in connection with the rape of an
11-year-old girl who was assaulted on her way home from school and
subjected to an attack that could have lasted up to three hours.
A 26-year-old man was arrested in Edmonton, north
London,
and was being questioned, the Metropolitan police said. Later a second
man, 18, was arrested at an address in Edmonton on suspicion of raping
the girl and remained in custody at a north-east London police station.
Officers appealed for potential witnesses to the attack, which happened
in Edmonton's Jubilee Park on Friday afternoon. The girl, who was
wearing her school uniform, got off a bus in Enfield and walked along a
road adjoining the park, police said.
At about 5pm a man dragged her into the park and took her to an area used for pitch and putt golf, where she was raped.
The
11-year-old, described as white and of petite build, returned home
shortly before 8pm, at which point her family called police. She was
taken to hospital, where she required surgery.

We can rail against God, the pain, the injustice, and suffering. We can rail against religion, society, governments, policies, legislation, TV producers, advertisers, video game manufacturers, we can rail against the wife beater, the child molester, the father that killed himself
Our heart can shout at God and call Him pathetic, weak, incompetent, useless, petty, racist, sexist, a misogynist, blame Him for our predicament, our state of life.... and it comes down to this:
"father, forgive them for they know not what they do...."
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will
be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty
God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
God made him who had no sin(A) to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Someone has to pay, someone has to pick up the tab, someone has to execute ultimate justice, otherwise you are left with an angry, cranky, frustrated, kantakerous, railing heart:
